Zambia Association of Manufacturers is proud to spotlight BAT Zambia’s journey and attainment of carbon neutrality for their operations at the industrial plant located in the Lusaka South Multifacility Economic Zone (LS-MFEZ) for the period 1st December 2022 to 30th November 2023. The achievement is in line with PAS 2060 : Carbon Neutrality – an internationally applicable standard that provides a recognised method of substantiating genuine claims by organisation’s with respect to sustainability, their response to climate change, and their contribution to the UN Strategic Development Goals. As Zambia grapples with the devasting effects of climate change and related extreme weather conditions such as drought and heat waves, it gives us great pleasure to share this leading Manufacturer’s contribution to addressing global warming. Well done BAT Zambia! We urge all our members to do their part to minimize the effects of climate change.
