Pre-export verification of conformity (PVOC) schemes for exporters based in Zambia Webinar

September 3, 2020 @ 9:00 am - September 4, 2020 @ 10:00 am

Bureau Veritas, a business to business to society world leader in Testing, Inspection and Certification and a member of ZAM will be hosting a free seminar on Pre-Export Verification of Conformity (PVoC) Schemes on Thursday 3rd September 2020 or Friday 4th September, 2020 at 09:00hrs-10:00hrs via Microsoft Teams.

It has been noted that the greatest risk for exporters to countries where the PVoC schemes are active include the inconvenience of paying demurrages for tracks marooned at borders of entry and in worst case scenarios, consignments have been denied entry into the countries of destination due to failure by the exporter to provide Certificates of Conformity (CoC) for the goods that show they comply with the standards of the country of destination. Companies are subjected to various struggles when the right process is not complied with during transactions involving goods crossing borders.

During this seminar, necessary information will be shared on where exporters and would-be exporters will be sensitized on what highlights and requirements currently exist in the export market in Africa and beyond. As you may be aware, Bureau Veritas is an appointed inspection agency for a number of countries in COMESA, SADC, Africa and globally with its core businesses of helping organisations manage risk better.

The Objectives of the webinar include;

  • Consumer and environment protection
  • Conformity assurance
  • Faster goods release at entry points with the appropriate Certificate of Conformity (CoC)
