The Zambia Association of Manufacturers will be hosting its 32nd Annual General Meeting on the 3rd May 2018 under the theme; “Consolidating ZAM’s Positioning for National Development” and will discuss key issues such as the move to make ZAM an Act of Parliament, and strengthening representation and participation of Copperbelt manufacturers, amongst other pertinent issues such as the Proudly Zambian Campaign, preferential procurement, and measures to reduce the cost of doing business for manufacturers.

The AGM is expected to be graced by the New Minister of Commerce, Trade & Industry Hon. Christopher Yaluma and will be attended by senior government officials from various government ministries and departments amongst other key stakeholders.

The AGM presents an opportunity for the membership to directly table the issues that have been adversely affecting the growth their business and hampering the development of the manufacturing sector. Additionally, it creates a platform for strategic deliberations around the positioning of the association in terms of advocacy, membership development and resource mobilization strategies. Members are encouraged to ensure that they are paid up in order to participate actively in this meeting.
