The Association has embarked on a renewed strategy to influence and advocate for policy change through enhanced visibility on various platforms. Amongst the measures being introduced this year included Industry Expert appearances of value addition oriented television programmes, print media publications and engagements of specific policy issues, electronic media engagement of the general public through platforms such as this e-newsletter and social media, enhanced engagement with secondary and tertiary institutions to address key issues such as bridging the skills gap, as well as radio appearances and talk shows to advance the value addition agenda in Zambia.
Members of the Association are encouraged to submit their policy concerns early and/or regularly to ensure that they are discussed and addressed in a timely manner. The “lobby early, get results” approach will ensure that we get our issues heard and highlight the necessary interventions that must be adopted to foster growth and development in the manufacturing sector. Non-members are further encouraged to join the Voice of Industry and become part of the process of generating solutions for business growth and development.
